From 2 June 2025, Marianne Hauglid Flågeng is the new Head of Laboratory in Blue Analytics. She will be responsible for organising, planning and managing daily operations at the laboratory in Bergen.
Detection of infectious agents in water from fish farms will give an indication of whether disease is developing. The method is sensitive and can be performed without handling or killing fish.
Blue Analytics is now a designated laboratory for the analyses that detect ISA, BKD and PD.

Blue Analytics is now able to offer a rapid and cost-effective analytical method (MLVA) to characterise the winter ulcer bacterium Moritella viscosa. The knowledge from this analysis can contribute to better prevention of winter ulcers.
